Cheveley Group of Churches - APCM Report March 2022

A copy of the Group Safeguarding Policy is now on display in each of our churches, together with a poster from Ely Diocese of who to contact if a problem is encountered. During the past year there have thankfully been no reports of abuse or other difficulties in our parishes.  Much work is being done to ensure everyone knows how to respond should any problems arise, including updating certification where appropriate. The updated list below shows where we are at with these.

Domestic Abuse training is an ongoing requirement for all PCC members and can be undertaken on line.  Most have done this.

Role Descriptions have been updated for Little Angels, Saturday Special, Pastoral visitors. For flower arrangers and church cleaners,  the annual review of these will take place in the next few weeks.

Risk Assessments: these have been updated and reviewed for Little Angels, Saturday Special and pastoral visiting. These activities are currently beginning to take place again.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming church for all and for this we all need to complete the training, be aware and be vigilant at all times. In this way we can go some way towards fulfilling our commitment as Christians to our community.

Role Descriptions:  are in place for Little Angels, Saturday Special, Pastoral visitors, flower arrangers and church cleaners.  The annual review of these will take place once the churches are open again.

Risk Assessments: these are in place for Little Angels, Saturday Special and pastoral visiting. Since none of these activities are currently taking place, they will need updating once they start again at which time they will also be reviewed, probably not for another month or two.

Thank you to everyone for your vigilance and support.  We are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming church for all and for this we all need to be aware and vigilant at all times, even during this reduced activity time due to Coronavirus.
